Interview Preparation
Congratulations! Getting an interview scheduled is no small feat - it means you met the requirements and look like a fit to the role on paper. Just wait until they get to know you - that’s when the real magic happens.
And, this moment is where you get to know the company. Interviews are conversations, not interrogations. A savvy candidate knows they are assessing the role, leaders, team, and company just as much as they are being assessed. What an empowering place to be! Or terrifying - depending on your mindset and preparation.
No matter which way you cut it, there is a lot at stake on both sides, multiple variables, and lots outside our control. We can either approach that moment with fear and apprehension and let the other parties drive, or we can come at it with grounded confidence and put some of the variables back in our control.
Feeling in control starts with practice and preparation. As a seasoned recruiter and leader of recruiting teams, I can de-mystify a mysterious process and help you find that control and confidence as you step into interview mode. And, I’ll give you feedback on interview answers, what you should (and shouldn’t) share, and strategies to assess the company to make sure it’s a good fit for YOU.
Entering into interviews means you’ve got to be as prepared to win as you are to lose - the truth is, you could do everything right and still not be selected. What we control is how we bring the best of ourselves to the process, how we self-advocate, and remain centered and proud regardless of the outcome. You’ve got this - and I can help.
